Students Head to Canada to Compete in SIFE World Cup
After taking home top honors in the national competition for the second year in a row, AUC’s chapter of the international nonprofit organization Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) will be traveling to Toronto, Canada to compete with teams from approximately 40 other countries in the SIFE World Cup on October 5, 2005.
Student Club Gives Voice to Disabled Children
Amidst loud applause and cheers from the audience, a group of children who are visually impaired performed at Ewart Memorial Hal as part of an event run and organized by Resala AUC, an affiliate of Resala, a nongovernmental organization that works with Egypt’s orphans and the underprivileged. The aim was to encourage the children and give them confidence in their abilities.
Charity Concert Raises LE 60,000 for Egypt's Orphans
The annual charity concert held by Volunteers in Action (VIA), a student club working to empower orphans, raised LE 60,000 this year to finance the club’s activities for orphans and to support its development projects in the Meet Okba area.
Every Village Deserves a Library
A small village on the Cairo-Alexandria road became the first village in Egypt to receive a library through the Village Library project organized by AUC's student club Alashanek Ya Balady.
AUC Wins Distinguished Delegation in New York
Competing with 3,200 students from more than 200 universities in 25 countries worldwide, AUC earned a second-place prize in the National Model United Nations (NMUN) conference, the largest university-level UN simulation worldwide.
